This past Tuesday was a sunny one in Melbourne town. Given the weather and for a change from the usual CBD and inner north shreds Shaun Paul and Morgan Campbell headed out to a few spots on Port Phillip Bay. First off they hit Prince Pier on Port Melbourne Beach. The pier is over a 100 years old, and its heyday (from 1915 to 1969) saw it as an arrival point for immigrants and soldiers returning from war. As last century reached its end, Prince Pier became run down that it was eventually closed to the public in 1990. It was ravaged by several fires in the years that followed. After a refurbishment (costing 14 million schmackers) it was finally reopened to the public in 2011. You may well recognise it from the Fourstar Crocodile Done Deal clip from 2014. Next up they headed to St. Kilda Beach where Shaun dodged multiple skaters on cruisers, backpackers and body building beach goers and sampled the Lewis Marnell kickers and the metal edged ledges. As peak hour hit they wrapped it up so Shaun could make it back to the city for a 6 o’clock shift.
